Highlights: Born in 1888, Ada completed her nurse training at Goulburn District Hospital in 1914 and joined Australian Army Nursing Service on 23 Sep 1916, aged 27 years.
Ada embarked for Cairo on 21 Mar 1917 arriving on 18 May 1917 and served with 14 Australian General Hospital Abbassia, until transferred to 52nd General Hospital, Salonika on 14 Aug 1917. Ada also served with 50th and 66th General Hospitals until 5 Feb 1919. She returned to England and served at 1 Australian General Hospital (Sutton Vemy) until 9 Jul 1919.
Ada returned to Australia, serving as Nursing Staff on HM Troopship Kanowna and was discharged on 4 Dec 1919.
Ada married John Calvert in 1924 at Crookwell, and died in Scotland in 1970.
